Scent Journal

In this time of worry and unknown the best thing we can do is care for our emotional wellbeing. We need to create calm centered environments for ourselves our loved ones and our immune system.  Empower yourself and focus your energy by creating a scent journal. Take one drop of oil on a scent strip or a tissue and enjoy its aroma for three minutes. Then jot down any physical or emotional changes you notice. We have been enjoying this practice as a family. It has been a pleasant way to pass the time, connect as a family and help my kiddos to ease some of their worries. It is also comforting to create a routine in times of uncertainty. I recommend doing this mini meditation consistently as you start your day or as you move towards a good nights rest.

Today we tried Eucalyptus radiata:
I love this oil! It is a gentler variety of Eucalyptus globulus so I prefer to use this with little ones. I would like to share some of what we noticed after our three minutes of peace: increased happiness, deep breathing, tingling sensation in nose and mouth, over all cooling of emotions. Each person will have their own unique experience with each oil.

I want to be explicit in saying this activity is meant as a one-drop inhalation exercise. If you are going to use oils topically please make sure you are diluting them properly for your age and constitution.
