Connecting with One Oil at a Time

In these overwhelming times filled with extreme multi tasking, uncertainty, and confusion, try connecting with one oil at at time. Pick one oil to use for one week. You will really understand how your physical and emotional state are affected by it. Experiment with different delivery methods such as defusing it, or dilute it with a carrier oil to use on your skin or in the bath. My personal favorite way to connect with an oil is to simply smell it for a few minutes each day. These activities give you a chance to connect with the oil and take some time to nurture yourself.

Right now I am obsessed with ylang ylang. I usually find this oil a bit unpleasant. While I usually crave earthy scents, something inside me was drawn to its very intense floral aroma. The universe as a whole has really been bumming me out lately, so It made perfect sense because ylang ylang calms anxiety and anger, and it releases endorphins that bring on a state of euphoria. I only need to add one drop of this potent oil to my diffuser. I run it three times a day for fifteen minutes because that it all you need to receive the benefits and avoid unpleasant side effects.
